MAP Matrix — Quick Start

Win the Day · Four steps to your first MAP.

⏱ About 30–40 minutes

Do these four things in your first session and you'll have a working MAP, a North Star, and your week set. Everything else can come later.

1

Build your RoadMAP

~20–30 min · sets up your whole horizon

The 10×10 Bootcamp is a fast, intensive sprint — four short rounds plus two bonus rounds — that moves you from a year out to five years across your five pillars, then turns it into a built MAP, a mission for each pillar, and your North Star.

Click: Build ▾▶ 10×10 Bootcamp
Work through all the rounds in one sitting. Don't overthink dates — rough is fine.
Fastest start: 🛢 Build your Drum Line (first in Build ▾) — pick any goal with any rough date, answer one question at a time as it lays the drums toward it, and finish with your very next step set for this week.
Already know your goals? Skip the Bootcamp and use ⊕ Rapid entry instead — add moments directly to the timeline.
In a hurry? 🛢 Build your Drum Line (in Build ▾) backcasts any goal into dated signposts. Name the goal and roughly when — "Dec 2027" is fine — say how you'll know you've crossed it, and it works backwards from there, halving the distance one question at a time until a marker lands close enough to reach this week. Its last step is your very next physical action, which can become today's Main Effort in ◎ Execution, so you've got a next action the moment you log in on your phone. It only fills that slot if it's empty, so it never overwrites a Main Effort you've already set.
2

Set your North Star

~2 min · your overarching why

The ✦ banner sits at the top of your RoadMAP. It's the one sentence that everything you plan should serve.

Click: the ✦ North Star banner → type your mission → press Enter
Not sure yet? Leave it blank and come back. The MAP works without it.
3

Set this week's focus

~3 min · the one thing that moves the needle

The Weekly Debrief is your weekly reset — review, plan, and set your Main Effort for the week ahead. Run it at the end of the week — whenever your week actually ends.

Click: Review ▾✓ Weekly Debrief → scroll to Plan → set your Main Effort (the single most important thing this week) and up to two Supporting Efforts
The Main Effort is the one thing that, if done, makes the week a win. Everything else is supporting.
4

On your phone: Execution is home base

~1 min · the screen you'll live in

Open the app on your phone and it lands straight on ◎ Execution — this week's Main + Supporting Efforts and your to-do list. Tick each effort off as you complete it (green check + strikethrough) so you always see what's left. Everything you need for the day, nothing you don't. (Tap 🗺 View plan any time to see the full RoadMAP & GoalMAPs.)

Do it: add the app to your home screen so Execution greets you every morning — one tap, today's focus. More on Execution →
To install: in Safari tap the share icon → Add to Home Screen. In Chrome tap the install icon in the address bar.

You're set up. ✓

From here, the rhythm is simple: run your Weekly Debrief at the end of each week, then open ◎ Execution each morning and tick off your efforts as you go.

Your MAP grows with you — add moments, move things, open GoalMAPs for any goal that needs its own plan.
