Win the Day · MAP Matrix — built in public

I built a goal-planning app for my coaching clients in 5 days.

No big dev team. Just me and an AI pair-programmer, building conversationally — describe it, see it live, refine it. Here's the day-by-day — and the weeks of daily improvement since.

Day 1

Zero → a working timeline

33 messages · Sun 21 Jun · 1pm–10pm
"This is really good… I coach in quarters." — and by evening: "why don't we take this off my machine and set up the full beta in the big wide world?"
Day 2

Live on the internet + my Weekly Debrief

47 messages · Mon 22 Jun · 2pm–11pm
Day 3 — the big one

Mobile, real users & a lot of polish

72 messages · Tue 23 Jun · 6am–11pm
"Great, we're kicking-arse here." 72 messages in one day — ideas faster than I could test them.
Day 4

Execution mode + the business model

30 messages · Wed 24 Jun · 7am–10pm
Day 5

Entitlements, free tools & the funnel

61 messages · Thu 25 Jun · 9am–8pm
Day 6 · to market

Taking it to market

~40 messages · Fri 26 Jun · 9am–3pm
"I feel we've got it to a great spot to send out my newsletter and promote this."
The fortnight since

It didn't stop — the app kept growing

Late June → 8 Jul · still shipping
The five-day sprint got it live. The fortnight since is what real software looks like — used every day, and improved every day.

This week · the big one

Everything points at the goal

Last week

A habit tracker on your timeline

24 Jul → 25 Jul · shipping daily
"The habits that build the goal, tracked right beside it." A plan tells you where you're going. Habits are how you actually get there — so we put them on the same timeline.
The week since

The oil drums — goals that run the week

18 Jul → 23 Jul · shipping daily
"You never need to see the whole journey. You need the next drum in reach." The timeline held the plan. The rhythm kept the habit. This week the two joined up — every goal now knows its next drum, and every week starts by asking which one you're driving toward.
The nine days since

The app got a brain, a voice — and a pulse

9 Jul → 17 Jul · shipping daily
"The habit is the whole game." Three weeks ago this was a timeline. Now it's a daily rhythm with a tap on the shoulder — morning focus, evening close, an app that answers questions about itself, and an AI that breaks any goal into its signposts. That last one felt like a milestone worth naming: this is MAP Matrix 2.0.

…and that's only the sessions my usage tracker caught — the true total is higher.
Five days. One coach. ~90 requests. A planning app I now run my clients on.
Built conversationally — I described what I wanted, watched it appear, and refined it in real time. Every bug, every "actually, can we…", every 11pm idea. This is what building looks like now.
